Drone FAQ

Are you qualified to fly a drone?

Yes.  I hold an A2 certificate of competency which enables me to operate heavier drones with fewer restrictions.

Are you insured?

Yes I hold public liability insurance to offer my clients peace of mind.

What drones do you use?

For high-end video and photography I use a Mavic 3.  I also use a Mavic Mini 2 when it’s not safe or legal to use the heavier Mavic 3.

Are there restrictions on where you can fly?

Yes.  Without obtaining special permissions it’s illegal to fly close to airports, prisons and major sports venues.  It’s also illegal to fly over large crowds of people.

Can you fly in all weather conditions?

No.  We wouldn’t operate our drones in heavy or persistent rain or snow.  High winds can also make it difficult to control the drone safely so they would remain on the ground.

How high can the drone fly?

Legally, 400ft unless special permissions are granted.

Is it fast ?

The Mavic 3 has a top speed of 36mph
